WSB-TV should be applauded for Thursday night's town hall meeting involving the problems at Grady Hospital. They aired it commercial free, and they brought in almost every key player involved (including former mayor and UN Ambassador Andrew Young and former Surgeon General Dr. David Satcher).
This is what a TV station should be doing. They should be offering help when the only Level 1 trauma center could close down, and offering help when our poor could die as a result of not being able to get health care. Other stations might have done specials (with commercials) or maybe frequent news stories. I am glad to see that there is a station in this town that actually does give a damn.
