WSB-TV's Bill Hoffman to Replace Bob Neil?

I saw a brief mention of this. Bill Hoffman, GM of WSB-TV, has been one of the Cox Media Group's "Champions," as has Neil, so I'm not sure if the writer was correct that Hoffman will assume Neil's responsibilities; but he might be right.

Hoffman has moved up through Cox TV and is also the head of the ABC Affiliates Board.
 
What the front-door is a "Champion" and according to whom? Whats the criteria? Or just more corporate gobblygook.
 
Someone who contributes to the Cox success story and makes them (and himself) money, therby moving up the corporate ladder. Neil was an excellent example. It requires, among other things, that you be good at what you do.
 
Geez there are so many "yes men" Bob hired over the years. It will take forever to clean it out and get guys who can think and feel the freedom to express a thought.
