WSBK has a Message for us

I told them that I would like to see "Ask The Manager" put back on the schedule. I just received the response below.

Hello John,

We thank you for your fond memories of the former show "Ask the Manager."
At this time, we do not foresee the return of the show to UPN38.

Best Regards.

I read somewhere something about FOX launching FOX2. Anyone know aything about this? Could this be something WSBK is looking at?If true.

Only if it included Dan Berkery, Stu Tauber, Dana Hersey and Meg Lavigne. Or some combination thereof.

FOX 2 is a strong possibility, but only at UPN stations that are owned by News Corp. WSBK is owned by CBS, so that would never happen.

I agree it's so unlikely that CBS owned (ex UPN) station, with network invested with The CW, would carry a Fox2. Maybe the Pax/i or any other indys would come into play in those markets.

But, I think the Tribune owned indys(Tribune already carries FOX in many markets), any random indy, as well as any Sinclair stations or any poor indies that lost WB or UPN would consider affiliating with Fox2.

It's merely a rumor -- there's no word on when of if Fox has something special for their now-former UPN affils. If they do set up another network, you can bet it won't be called "Fox 2", as there are many Fox affils that are called by that name (like Detroit's WJBK, St. Louis' KTVI and Honolulu's KHON, for example).

Re: What is FOX 2?

I don't think Fox would ever launch a second over-the-air TV network.

It would be quite costly to launch (even with Fox's deep pockets), and there would be no guarantee that the network would ever make a profit.

Re: What is FOX 2?

I also think it would be a bad move. Now if we could get rid of PAX/I, we'd be all set! :)<P ID="signature">______________
