WSB's News Queen announces retirement

Monica Pearson has officially announced that as of July she will retire from channel 2. After 37 years at the station, the 64 year old Monica is calling it quits. Jovita Moore who has been groomed for years to take Monica's chair will temporarily handle the 4 and 6pm slots in July in addition to the 5 and 11pm shows until the station shuffles around talent. I would expect that Jovita and Justin will at a minimum handle the 6 & 11 long-term while the 4 and 5pm slots will have minor changes by September.

Actually, Monica unofficially announced the summer of 2010 on V-103 while being interviewed, so it was kind of an open secret
