There are several posters on here that live in the Tallahassee area. None of them have reported hearing this station. It's also interesting to note that the "owner" quit posting right around 12/17, which easily leads me to speculate that the whole deal has fallen through. Either that or he's gotten tired of all the people on here calling him crazy.

I'm sad, I really wanted a $25 Starbucks Gift Card to use the next time I drive through Climax. Now you may be thinking, "Climax doesn't have a Starbucks," but Woody is a major stock holder of Starbucks and has connections in the corporate office. He was going to use this radio station to help launch a new string of Starbucks stores all over south west Georgia.

I have been holding my breath since the re-design of the website, the "blowing your mind" call letter flip, and the feature on the local news about the domination of AM talk in South Georgia

I thought this was going to end soooo well!

In all seriousness, if anyone is personally acquainted with Woody Nelson AKA Steven Blood, please contact him and make sure he's OK. I mean fun is fun, and we’ve all had some fun thumping our Woody, but if Woody has been the victim of foul play or some natural calamity, we should, as good, kind and caring people, seek to make sure he's alive and well.

Those within earshot of Okolochnee haven't reported anything yet. I'm pulling for WSBX, and I wonder if there has not been some delay in delivery of equipment, installation of same, etc. And the daily updates seemed to have ceased as well.Woody? Where are you, Woody? I may e-mail him off the board and see if everything is OK. I do get a kick out of the man's enthusiasm ... .
 
From another web site. He's apparently trying to trade out an engineer to correct frequency drift. I thought he was buying a brand new xmtr?

We are looking for an AM Radio engineer immediately to correct several problems left behind by our previous contract engineer. Low pay, but high reward including monthly income from ad revenues. Must be within driving distance of Valdosta Georgia. First and foremost we need help correcting frequency drift. Email right away to [email protected]

You know, if you consider the depth and breadth of this forum, isn't there someone, somewhere who can help Mr. Nelson out? This board is populated with engineers, air talent, production people, even owners. Isn't there someone with the knowledge, skill and expertise to offer assistance? Maybe someone even has a spare transmitter they could lend? It’s a shame that Mr. Nelson is over a month past his promised airdate. Could someone please see it in his or her heart to help? Maybe that TV station could air another story and tell the public that this essential media voice needs to be heard! First, it was the flaky transmitter, reports of an incompetent former engineer. Then the crystals, the sabotaged fuses. Now, off all things, frequency drift -------- in an AM transmitter! No wonder we haven’t heard much from Mr. Nelson lately. It’s hard to imagine how much disappointment one man can take. And think of his poor mother. All that cash, and no return. Please keep Mr. Nelson and his long-suffering mother in your prayers…
 
Louis from Tallahassee reported on the North Florida board that WSBX is on the air. Did anyone else hear them? I wish them luck but it must be tough to be in the AM radio biz these days.

Yes we are on the air at reduced power until we can fix all of the problems we inherited here such as a rotted ground shield , bad wiring and bad power coming into the building which caused our transmitter to arc a few times. We are on the air from sunrise to sunset every day. We are an Active Talk station, which is a hybrid of Rock and Talk...
