Hi...
I am neither a radio insider nor a resident of Chicago, but I had a couple of questions about WSCR, to which I listen on the internet at work.
*Was Mike Murphy bought out?
*If so, would anyone want him after his no-compete expires?
*If not, will he be given a weekend or late-night shift?
*The station seems to have a zillion people who do one shift a month or so (or maybe once a week
). Are some of them going to disappear (or are thay also selling ad time?)
*Are the three weekday daytime programs loooong?? Can even the best hosts sustain that much time on air and remain interesting?
*What did people detest so much about Mike Murphy, anyway? As a non-Chicago resident, he seemed OK to me. I found the "feuds" amusing, actually. Why was there so much glee when he got canned? Did it come from inside the station as well as outside?
Thanx...
Jim
