WSCR-FM 105.9?

Looks like it may happen, although CBS doesn't say when. Lewis Lazare also points to the possibility of Emmis blowing up one of its FMs for sports, although I don't know why 3 sports stations would be necessary, even in a market the size of Chicago. It would certainly put pressure on WGN/Tribune and ESPN/Disney though, since neither owns an FM.

Interestingly, last year, Emmis was in talks of dropping the format of 101.9 FM in New York and convert that station to ESPN Radio; while there is currently an ESPN Radio station there on an AM station, the plan being speculated was that it would be a deal to bring their programming to 101.9 FM. Could happen in Chicago, too, where ESPN Radio is on an AM station.

Would Emmis LMA their stations or sell them outright? If Emmis is still thinking about it, so should Disney.

Trying to put the Score on FM???
You got to be star crazy nuts if they do that!!!
You know what the FCC will say about outside callers and radio sports jocks using swear words especially ON THE FM BAND!!!
The FM band isn't Liberal like on the AM Band...

The Score should stay right where they at on AM-670, so that they would get in as big of trouble as they would be on FM frequencies.

If Emmis would have flipped one of its NYC FM's to sports Radio. there would be no way unless it was in a deal with Disney for it to be ESPN Radio. Since Disney owns WEPN 1050 to begin with. Why would you move your affiliation from a station you own to a rival company just to be on an FM Station. Same Thing with Chicago. ESPN Radio will not be moving off of WMVP anytime soon. if Emmis does start a Sports talk station in NYC or Chicago it will ha ve to affiliate with either Fox Sports or Sporting News.

To quote the GEICO caveman: Uhhhhhhh......what?

And they will, until the audience on 670 is so small they have to either sell the transmitter or turn it off. Give it 5-10 years. At least CBS has FM frequencies to move their AMs to, unlike Disney (unless they buy back WLS-FM or buy/LMA Q101) and Tribune (WGN is toast by 2020, when much of their current non-sports audience will have died of old age).
