WSEA "The TEAM Myrtle Beach 100.3 switches to CBS Sports Radio

This should make for some interesting talk in MB. Will Qantum, Fidelity and Next Media call Bristol? They probably already have as this move was a no-brainer as soon as Cumulus made public their financial stake in CBS Sports Radio.

As of January 2, there will be two sports stations in Market #156 and neither will be ESPN Radio.

Where and when will the format wheel spin?

The switch has been made. I'm on the beach, but plenty of friends and former listeners are hitting me up on Twitter and Facebook. They're not happy. It's too bad, because Ferrall is on. I've been a fan of Scott's work since the mid-90s.

Why doesn't Cumulus take FOX Sports off 101.9 and place ESPN Radio their? ESPN Radio is much better than FOX Sports Radio. Can't think anywhere else for ESPN to go on FM in Myrtle Beach. Doubt Next Media would blow up 99.5 for sports. Only way they do that is they get some play by play.

Its my understanding that Cumulus is locked in to CBS Sports. So if/when they do make a change, it wont be to ESPN

i am not surprised the same thing happened in greenville. espn is expensive and is not friendly to its affiliates on the other side the same people complaining about the switch should have bought advertising
