In 1983, "Red Rubber Ball" would have been better than some of the music I was required to play at SHE. "Total Eclipse Of The Heart" every three hours on an album rock station sucked. We had a receiver in the control room and one night, while playing the Bonnie Tyler classic I tuned to Y-100. THEY were playing Quiet Riot. Something was wrong at WSHE. Despite this, I enjoyed my time in the Davie trailer park and still consider WSHE a pretty damn good radio station. Okay, I'll fess up. Once in a while when the Bonnie Tyler song came around in rotation, I accidentally skipped it. Some nights I couldn't handle hearing that sound. You know it, the actual sound of people switching radio stations.
Total Eclipse Of The Heart was the name of the song?? What a suprise to me!! All those years of people calling in for me to play "Turn Around Bright Eyes"....Wonders never cease to amaze after all this time! ;D
