WSHM "CBS-3 Springfield" newscast to be launched in September

According to an article in today's Springfield Republican, WSHM-LP will be launching a twice-daily (6pm and 11pm) newscast in September. Construction is underway of a "state of the art all-digital studio" in downtown Springfield's Monarch Place.

Wouldn't it have been cheaper to keep channel 3 on western Massachusetts cable systems and just have them call their newscasts "Eyewitness News" with no "3" logo on their microphones?

It would be cheap, but WSHM is a cheap TV production, if you compare it to another low power station located two channels under 67!

Would that be a low-power station carrying Telmundo programming? Affiliated with a certain channel 13 of Hartford? Hmmm!

That would be correct, my friend. You want to do LPTV right (even if the audio is not in stereo), look for WDMR LP 65! With their current ERP, they're doing miracles, compare to "SHAM". LOL

(Ok guys and gals, insert your CBS 3 Joke here) :p
