WSHU 1260 AM

What's the status of WSHU AM 1260's signal/power? Are they at a temporary transmitter site? Reduced power? If so, does anyone know: is it "temporary" as in "temporary, and we're actively working on the permanent site and should be back up at that site and full power soon", or is it "temporary" like "temporary, jeez, we lost our permanent site and we don't know what we're gonna do". Thanks for any insight.

I've been wondering about that myself, being the former C.E. for the former WMMM-AM. I know they have been on a temporary antenna from the SBC site (their tower had a detuning skirt to keep in from making havoc with the old two tower directional array). I beleive they are using the skirt as the actual antenna for now, but don't quote me on that. I have no clue how long they will be in limbo, but they were aware of the land use terminating when the Grahams donated the station to WSHU.

For those of you who may be curious, I have a tribute web site to Westport's WMMM-AM & FM. It really needs to be updated and if I get some time I do plan on doing this. The site is located at http://wmmmradio.tripod.com/

I think they are operating at 250 Watts Day and 5 Watts at night, I recall an engineer telling me this.
