WSIX Mornings?

I'm a little surprised, myself. I've been looking forward to seeing who's next. And I REALLY need to change my username.

I will say this Billy...You were put into a bad place and you did a great job! It's sad to see what has become of radio.

Thats crap channel for you! The Rock is the only station they have thats worth a damn.

Mornings on SIX...some guy named Bones with his sidekick Ashtray....or some such. Afternoons with fleabag. The sad state of Nashville radio...hardly worth shedding a tear over. Just turn off the transmitters. Please

WSIX will debut the Bobby Bones show on Feb 18th, an extremely popular talent in austin, texas he will make the transition from a CHR format to a country format, going nationwide on a hand full of stations, see here,

i forget who he replaces, wasnt Big D and Bubba on WSIX? and if they got booted, that means alot of stations are going to scramble for a new morning show, unless Big D and Bubba have another station they went to.

Big D & Bubba were repurposing their morning show for afternoons on WSIX, but they've been off WSIX for over a year. They still broadcast from a studio down the hall from 98 on Music Row, we'll see how long that lasts when the new show moves to town.

Looks like he will be on a half dozen or so other markets as well. Maybe this is the start of Bone Country vs. NASH. Certainly not a house of cards?

Maybe in Nashville, but not necessarily anywhere else. I don't expect a lot of major market CC stations to throw out profitable local morning shows for syndication. Unless they have weak morning shows. WSIX was easy, since it hasn't had a morning show in a few months. Amazingly, they've held on to their audience even without a regular host. So much for the value of local talent.

This new guy appears to be heavy on comedy, light on music. Kinda like Gerry. Except 30 years younger.

I am obviously not a comedian....(see my postnon previous Bones guy post...I don't want to take up anyone's time re-reading similar comments.)
