WSJO

I'm really surprised how far WSJO stretches.
I can get them at least up to Levittown, PA.
Believe it's the analog signal but it's clear in the car.

They were always listenable in Philly, even in the early 70s when Rodio was the owner, Bob Frey had a nightly oldies show before they went Nostalgia with Ivory and the crew, fantastic ratings. I was pretty sure they ID'd as Hammonton with sister WRDI 1580.

Yep, I can get it in HD, which yes the HD3 I see is beach radio. what is the HD2. some kinda spanish music format? The HD2 is in mono.

It every once in a while cuts out for a split second.
but I have to have the antenna aimed correctly and the amplifier turned up a few DB to make the signal stay locked in HD.
I'm actually surprised how far it goes in HD>
Since if I'm not mistaken, HD is only 10% of the analog signal coverage?
But isn't it true that they can push out the signal... I forget something about using the sideband to put out something stronger?

I recall there was a Philly translator on 104.9 relaying the AM signal from WWDB 860 a few years ago. I remembered going to Philly and listening to WWDB on the FM instead of WSJO while we were in Center City. Normally, SoJo 104.9 has a decent signal that can be easily heard throughout the Philadelphia area with a good radio, and you can even listen to it in the car with some fading.

I guess too many interference complaints caused WWDB to totally give up on the FM translator....
