WSJR-New Branding

I see WSJR is now branding itself as Great Country 93.7. Anyone know if this is a Cumulus syndicated format or is it local? Any word on whether there will be any local talent involved? Fat chance I'm sure, just curious.

they can do anything, or brand jr what ever they want..they did well when jules riley was o.p.mgr. and p.d. after they hired mark stevens as p.d. it went down hill. he had know clue about country music..nor did the follow up p.d from the x.. jr was doing just fine when moonshine did mornings, and cash, and jess wright did afternoons..then the maverick show on weekends with classic country music.. with requests..they always gave the frog some compition when they had that format.but like everything else in radio, the jerks who run these stations are used car salesmen, and know nothing about broadcasting..i was in radio for a long time, but i dont listen anymore..its embarrising. and the same goes for local tv..

I remember doing a little research on them and found that the personalities they had were the same as on Cumulus's "Best Country Today" format, so yes, they are syndicated 100%.

It's a canned Cumulus crap format. Don't hold your breath to hear anything local on that station as long as the robber barons from Atlanta own it.

Froggy will eat 93.7 for breakfast and s**t them out before noon!
