Seems like an odd time but....this is from allaccess.comLooking for a Producer/Programming Assistant for an AM News/Talk station with 77 years of heritage. Need at least 3 years Full time on-air experience...any format. Want someone with a great attitude and the passion to win. It won't be an easy job, but for the right person...you'll love it! Send package to Beth Ann McBride, c/o WSJS, 875 West 5th Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27101 I would be EXTREMELY cautious about starting to work at a station that is going to be sold very soon. Now down to the real deal....Why is Jim Skotthy leaving?

Skotthy is going to work for Representative Virginia Foxx.As for the pending sale, I seriouly doubt people below the management level have anything to worry about. Biggest worry would be at the top. Unlikely any of the worker bees would be in jeopardy. The station is a successful business and turns a nice profit. Only reason CBS would sell it is because it doesn't fit their business model of Top 25 Markets. Since 1994, WSJS has had four owners and NONE of the ownership changes resulted in ANY personnel changes.
