WSJS Sold????

The shag carpet has to stay! There is nothing like that "spilled coffee, Cig smoke, mold, old records" smell.

So, they are going to do a Shag Carpet Sunday?

Now, The pay for play was OK early on...Mike Wells, the financial stuff, and Money Matters were decent shows. But as they continued to "pimp the hours" it went down hill quick.

The difference between Wells, Hungerford, and Gib & John is they proved themselves as hosts with interesting things to talk about long before they became "advertisers" of the station. Even some of the early medical shows with Glenn were pretty good - but you are right, it has become infomercial city!

OH yes Curtis Media is in the Greensboro Market.

The deal is done.....

All good stuff man... Kewell...

Break out the Starbuckssssssssss.......

Z Man

;D ;D ;D

This may be the rare situation that is good for the listener and good for the employees

Passed thru High Point about 5:30 and they were having the freeking Chrismas Parade in the bRain..Nobody watching but they were paradeing!!

I actually rode in the parade and it was a mess. Fastest High Point parade in history! I think they just wanted to get it over with. There actually were some brave souls out with umbrellas. Too bad. Larry Craven is with the High Point Chamber of Commerce now and quite happy there.

Ahhh yes, the High Point Christmas parade. There was a year....not to long ago.....the cold and Wind, Dennis Elliot, Larry Craven Did the PbP for the parade...and I did the tech stuff. I think I warmed up a week later!.......All in all though, it was one of those "radio things".....

I always loved listening to their parade coverage. Those were the hey-days of WMFR! We used to be able to walk out the front door of the Radio Bldg. and watch the parade. All our employees kids were on the floats. That was when radio was fun!

So, Z-Man, is it a pretty sure thing that WSJS has been sold to Curtis. If so, good for them, they dodged the Clear Channel and Entercom bullets.

I realize that, But what happens after the Sale?
