WSJS-WMFR. Curtis Media or Entercom?

Does anyone know why at the bottom of the WSJS and WMFR web sites, it has "2007 Entercom Greensboro, LLC"?

And if you click on the "Jobs" link it takes you to an Entercom jobs listing page.

My suspicion is that this is a programming error on the part of the CBS Webteam. The WSJS site is still using the CBS Design Template and it appears someone changed it to Entercom in error (weren't some other CBS stations sold to Entercom?).

I can't imagine Curtis doing the LMA with Entercom.

Does the FCC require an official announcement for LMA like it does a license transfer?

You know, you might be correct. If you go to the Austin talk station that Entercom recently purchased from CBS, you will find that the station is still using the CBS web template and they have the "2007 Entercom Austin LLC" tag at the bottom of their web site. http://www.talkradio1370am.com/

Now the WSJS web site has been changed to Curtis Media Group. The WMFR web site still says Entercom though. Maybe they lost the admin login for the WMFR site. Or maybe Max has to fix it when he gets in tomorrow.

Oh well. It created a little bit of excitement on this dull board for one day anyway.

If you want the folks to know something, post it here. There are several employees who lurk here! I suspect one of the IT folk got the message.

Nearly a month out from the time we originally discussed this...

It seems that someone changed the front corporate ID of the front page of the website to Curtis, but internal pages say:
© 2007 Entercom Greensboro, LLC - All Rights Reserved.

Moreover, click on the "jobs" employment link and you get sent to Entercom's job-search pages.

I hate to pass judgement, but is this SLACK, UNPROFESSIONAL AND DOWNRIGHT STUPID or what?

Later....

Slack, unprofessional, lack of attention to detail! Certainly all of those.

Meanwhile, it is a Curtis Media Group station! It now appears above the front door at 5th and Summit. Wonder if they will EVER change the logo on the front of the building! It is till the old 600 WSJS logo and is now the fourth owner that hasn't seen fit to change it!

The station dates back to 1935 and over the years, they had some neat logos. Problem with the one on the building is it is not the one they have used since adding the 1200 signal. Good or bad, you would think people in the marketing business would know better!
