What do you think will happen to WSJT? They have an all female staff which is unique. They have returned to two live local shifts. If they flipped to sports, where would they get the programming? What about AC? Nobody thinks they would do this, but Mix and Magic aren't that great. I guess CHR is out now that WLLD is on 94.1.

Any thoughts?

SJT should stick with the jazz format. Tampa needs a good jazz station. CBS just needs to terms with that fact that their programming is awful. Lets remember that this is the station that has played the Backsteet Boys on several occasions and thinks Booker T. & The MG's is jazz. They focus almost exclusively on a small set of unpopular new music, with the rare classic song thrown in. Unfortunately for them, not many people like that. I have always felt that they should focus more on older (more familiar) jazz tunes. The Smooth Jazz format needs to be scrapped, it's terrible, and it's time has come.

If you wish to blame someone for the demise of smooth jazz, blame Broadcast Dilapidation Architecture.

I used to listen to them when they were live and local. They sounded like a Tampa Bay station. Now, forget it. The automation is so poor and who wants to listen to Jazz musicians promote themselves all day and night. Sounds like an L.A. station, not Tampa Bay.
