The days of golden oldies on WSKI are over.
The local AM radio station has decided to switch up its format, turning over its 50s crooners and 60s singer-songwriters for ESPN, the Boston Celtics, Notre Dame football and even some local basketball.
"The oldies music had, unfortunately, just lost its real core appeal," said Terry Lieberman, general manager for The Point, whose parent company, Northeast Broadcasting owns WSKI at 1240 AM.
