WSKZ?

I understand that Knoxville stations are the dominate topic on this board but maybe someone has some info about WSKZ in Chattanooga. They have lost around 37% of their 6+ audience share since July*. Mathematically, it would be hard to only lose only the 55+ non sellable demos. The only recent programing change I have detected is they have some lame national show on in the evenings. Or has John Boy and Billy lost their Mojo in the Scenic City?

Not sure what to think about this, secondchoice. I just asked a similar question about Scott Chase on the East TN board. I am intrigued by this dinosaur of a radio station in many ways, and admittedly, I am a bit biased. I think KZ106 is actually real radio and how it has managed to stay together for 40 years is impressive. Why? How? and Why? LOL.

John Boy and Bill in mornings
Kelly McCoy middays
Scott Chase 2-7 (a long drive time)
Steve Gorman -Syndicated at night

So they are local/semi-live via Covid 1/2 the time. I really like Kelly's voice and she seems down to Earth. Been at KZ for about two decades. Scott Chase was inducted into the Tennessee Radio Hall of Fame in 2020. He is 36 years in. He is the farthest
thing from a GM/OM and drive time personality that I would have ever expected in a market the size of Chattanooga.

How have they kept this station the way this station sounds?

It would not surprise me if Scott voice tracks the last couple of hours of his show.

The Louisville KY market had some time warp issues when I was there. Indiana doesn't do daylight savings time except for a couple of counites directly across the river from Louisville. So there were several Indiana counties in the market that were an hour behind in the summer. You got an "extra hour" in some of the counties to drink as most of the counties had a 2am quitting time Sunday morning in the 1990's.
