WSM AM

I listen frequently and am pretty sure WSM is Voice Tracked after midnight on weeknights. You never hear a temperature in the weather reports, etc., and everything seems very "generic". I have heard Eddie Stubbs stay past midnight when bad weather is in the area, but if there is bad weather after he leaves, it is usually not mentioned. Just my observations.

Perhaps that Jason Tomlin could pitch in with the real "inside" story.

Hey, KR4BD, the WVUD call letters are now being used by the University of Delaware at 91.3 in Newark, Del.

Yes. I know the U. of Delaware has that callsign now. When I was at the "old" WVUD, it was a popular 27,000 watt MOR COMMERCIAL station owned by the University of Dayton. I was a student there and held down the afternoon airshift in the late 1960's. Clear Channel bought the station from the University in the early 1990's and changed the call letters to WLQT, which remains one of the top-rated stations in the Dayton area.
