WSM SITE - HISTORIC SITE?

Why Gaylord can't make money with WSM is ridiculous! Maybe some of those country stars that owe their fortune to the Opry and WSM should give back, and buy that station and keep her as the piece of history that she is! Long Live WSM

The leading authority says there are 17 viable signals in Nashville. WSM is 24th in 25-54 listening. It would be highly unusual under these circumstances for it to make money.

Just looking to the 6 + it looks like WLAC is not doing that well either with the "big five ": Rush, Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck, Mark Levin and The Eldon Thacker Show.

My German Nordmende Turandot C, built in 1961 is often parked on 650 WSM frequently. NRSC needs to go goodbye and real bandwidth AM return to our airwaves. Take HD Radio on AM with it. If there's music on AM you can't get elsewhere, and it's built and promoted, people will come. Beside a beautiful Blaw-Knox tower beats a smartphone every day. The most romantic broadcast tower design ever made by man.

Get rid of HD radio and reinstate AM stereo! I have one in my car and seek out the stations broadcasting in AM stereo. WLS is still broadcasting in stereo and I will listen to it over other talkers. 1630 WCJJ out of Iowa plays great sounding music!

The former WDXN in Clarksville was broadcasting in stereo while I was working there, in 1993. That station is now the Sports Fan in Clarksville; don't know if they are still broadcasting in stereo or not. I have never had any equipment to receive AM stereo, but was told that it sounded better even on mono equipment, although I never noticed any discernable difference.
