WSMN-AM's STA Has Expired; Any Movement?

The Special Temporary Authority under which WSMN-AM 1590 in Nashua has been operating should have expired this month. Does anyone know if they've made any progress in building out their actual licensed facilities?

An extension request was accepted for filing on 7/7. It doesn't appear that the request is available on-line.

hmmmm. I do have to go to Nashua tomorrow.

The actual site doesn't appear to be accessible without passing a "check in at office" sign, but there doesn't seem to be any clearing or construction activity going on in the immediate area.

If you're right and they've filed an extension request AND it's approved, they may indeed NEVER build it. Even if the economy iomproves, there may not be enough money in the Nashua market to support 3 radio stations.

There’s plenty of money in the Nashua area, but also plenty of stations. Nashua is close enough to Boston that he entire Boston market comes in as if it were local.

Do they own this land?
The application for the new 1590 site has not been approved, either.
What if, they build the new site, move the studios and diplex the 900 off the middle tower?
No transmitter site rent.
No studio site rent.
Sometimes consolidation is not a bad thing...

To put up 3 towers, they must get approval from city/town zoning boards who tend to give preference to: 1) bird watchers, 2) salamander- and frog-lovers, 3) archaeologists, 4) artifacts hunters, 5) residents who don't want any towers 4,332 miles from their home, 6) fortune-tellers worried about RF clouding up their crystal ball.
