WSMV Studios Changes? and WZTV Studios in HD

I know a lot has been made on the WKRN thread about a new HD studio? ???

But over the past few weeks I've notice on WSMV Channel 4 they're either making some changes to the studio again :eek: or

reconfigured it for the cameras; I guess it's possibly for some new weather equipment. :(

On top of that WZTV is planning to go HD as well. ;D

Either way they're all chasing the first in HD, and looks like the first in news for a long time coming, WTVF NewsChannel 5. :)
 
I've noticed that too.. I would guess they are in a temporary studio of some kind. You notice, all the shots are very tight. They don't do the wide studio shots they used to do during the bumps and and out of break, or at the end of the show.

Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but the desk looks new, does it not?

As for WZTV, its about time they got rid of that TACKY set and cheesy graphics, although the graphics are leftovers from the old Sinclair mandated "NewsCentral"
