wsne... in the past

anyone one where any of the past personallities are working now..
i know gary trust was at wmvy for a while but i understand hes no longer there

and how about doug o'brien where did he ever end up..... i know courtney young left and now shes beck... voiced tracked (and sounds horrible ) no localism there at all

i know jess made a smart move and jumped across the bridge over to hot 106 ( i listened for a while today and shes dont sound bed there)... any word on joan and chuck.. im suprised noone has picked either up at this point
and as im thinking of this what is coast down to 3 personallities now being morning and afternoon drive.... why bother lol

Doug O'Brien went to Houston. I don't know what station though.
As far as Joan & Chuck I don't know what to think about their future in radio. In spite of what the Coast morning crew numbers might have been,Joan's main appeal is in RI. A logical place would be LITE but I don't see a Jones & Joan reunion in the future. Possibly a weekend shift for no other reason than to keep herself on the air? I mean this with all due respect but if an out-of-market PD gets a Joan Edwardsen aircheck the appeal just isn't going to be there. I could be wrong. Maybe there is a medium to large market station out there looking for a female host & she would strike the right chord. As far as Chuck, again I'm not sure where he could end up unless in news. They were obviously a package deal at Coast as I'm sure the station didn't need a news director.
As far as Courtney she did a good job when she worked at Coast live. You really can't say her voicetracked shift sounds horrible by any means but it's just...there. I wonder how she handled weather related ad-libs on Wednesday. A relatable personality would have mentioned what kind of struggle he or she had driving in but I don't know if she would have outright pretended she drove in or just ignored the situation. Maybe she carpools with McMann.

i shouls re phrase my statement about courtney... i dont mean she her self sounds horrible.... its the whole idea or her voice tracked.... mabe because i was used to her at the station live.... and if you ever did catch a listen when she was live... you can now clearly notice the diffrence..... im suprised chuck hasnt ended up over at pro sence there openings for news people there... i think he would be a good fit

She's doing the same kind of radio you hear coming out of the gas pumps at stations that run music and a voice with spots for snacks, etc.I don't blame her for taking advantage of the direction radio is going and tracking on various stations but let's not call an "announcer" a DJ.Coast is on cruise control.

It's hard to be local 1,000 miles away. I check ProJo and get the scoop from my friends who still live there. I actually used to do the talking gas pump gig for many gas stations in NE, but to say that that's the kind of care I put into my show is incorrect. Not that I need to defend myself, BUT I spend a lot of time doing show prep, I try to be relatable, topical, AND local. I also don't want to out right lie. So, I am in a bit of a quandry. Any suggestions for getting more local info to use is appreciated. However, although I read this board often, I rarely see constructive criticism. It's usually just people griping.

BTW, congrats to RMW for bouncing back. She's a gem and a great person to work with.

You're probably covering the bases for localism with projo.com and websites for local tv stations.I don't doubt that you prep but spontaneity is missing, which is course is impossible when your show is tracked so that isn't your fault.Again I don't blame you for taking advantage of these opportunities. As far as this board it's now mainly griping because it's mainly about talk radio. When a board gets to the point where the music stations aren't discussed much it's an indication that people have lost interest because of the lack of excitement or effort at those stations.
