WSNJ relocates from Upper Deerfield to Millville after 60 years

UPPER DEERFIELD TOWNSHIP -- According to Radio station WSNJ station owner and Millville Mayor Jim Quinn, he has closed its Upper Deerfield studio after more than 60 years in the location. The change was prompted by problems with the station's 500-foot-tall radio tower caused by last week's storm. WSNJ, broadcasting on AM 1240, laid off five workers to cut costs. Quinn estimates will cost between $30,000 and $40,000 to repair the tower. Upper Deerfield Township broadcasts WSNJ's programming to Cumberland County. WSNJ staff have been appearing on Quinn Broadcasting's local cable TV station, which broadcasts out of the Millville facility. Alot of the information for this story came from friends of Jim Quinn and other websites.
