WSRB Chicago

I have been listening to WSRB online.

The station has transitioned to a "90s and today" r and b format like those in Dallas and Philadelphia. Alot of upbeat music though I am definitely hearing some 80s too.

The station has a local, music intensive morning show. I am a bit surprised that they don't seem to be interested in Joyner given his heritage in Chicago. They do have Baisden in the afternoon.

Urban AC radio is finally catching up with the times. The 90s & Today format is my kinda music and im 25. Most cities have 2 Urban AC stations, so i wouldn't be shocked if 1 were "90s & Today" while the other is "Classic Soul & Todays R&B." It would be great to hear some old school hip-hop and new jack swing too.

Looks like Tom Joyner will soon be on in the mornings on this station. It only has a nice signal on the far South Side and Rockford but it is better than nothing for TJMS.

Yeah you can't hear it at all on the north end of town.

I like KRNB's format, but I've noticed that they are starting to throw some older cuts back in the mix. It seems like nothing last long at that station. Also, they have nothing but "The Quietstorm" seven days a week, while K-Soul airs "The Backspin" with Spinderilla on Saturday nights.
