Austin Davis and Kerry Mathieson were let go after they finished their show on Monday 08/08. For the time being, they have moved Jackie Brush from mid-days to mornings along with Greg Byrne (from sister station WTAG-AM). Luckily, Bruce was able to get back in but I'm sure there was big pay cut when he made the move.
Could Big John reapear up at WSRS. He would be a good canadate.

Lisa was paired with Austin late last year and from my perspective (for what it’s worth), it was a disaster. From day one, they sounded very much like a marriage that wasn’t working and the listener could almost hear the tension. She didn’t last long before Kerry Mathieson replaced her.
To my knowledge, Kevin has no on air experience. He is currently the producer of the Jordan Levy show on PM drive at WTAG. There are times that he is part of the conversation but it is limited in scope. When Jordan is out of town, they don’t even utilize Kevin as a fill-in and bring other folks (usually local politicians) in to do the show.
Actually, I think Jordan would be lost without the strong presence of Kevin as his producer. I really doubt that Clear Channel would want to mess with Jordan’s show seeing just about all of the movers and shakers in Worcester tune into his show.

Weren't Austin and Kerry the top-rated morning radio show in the Worcester market both in overall listeners and key demographics??
If they were, this makes their firing all the more odd.
It's been suggested in this thread that the move might be a money-saving one. But if Clear Channel really wanted to save money, they could have had WSRS-96.1 pick-up the syndicated (by Jones Networks) "Lifetime Radio" morning show, a mix of AC music and female-orinted topics produced in cooperation with the Lifetime cable-TV network.
But since the job listing has been posted, at least CC is (for now) going to keep the morning shift at WSRS local.
