WSTB off the air

I received word today that radio station WSTB 88.9 FM in Streetsboro has been knocked off the air due to a fire that destroyed the gym and other rooms surrounding the radio station studios. Uncle Bill W. hopes that the studio will be up and running in time for their Sunday Oldies Jukebox Commercial Free radio show this Sunday.

From what I saw on the news, there was extensive smoke and water damage outside of the gym - which obviously took the brunt of the damage. Structural cracks were shown on top of the gym's roof earlier today, to boot.

Given that I was witness to the fire on the Lorain County Community College campus last February, that took nearly two whole months to resolve and clean up. (Their now-defunct internet radio station was knocked off the air for an entire month.) Even with fully-staffed cleaning and restoration services working non-stop on all shifts available. I don't wish that on anyone, not even my worst enemies.

Hopefully WSTB can resume broadcasting, but the administering of final exams is going to be a whirlwind nightmare now. :(

Hey Willie if your reading this I feel for ya pal. As you know I lost our 92.1 in the late 90's to a fire upstairs. It's not gonna be a very happy next couple of moths.
