WSTM/WSTQ to Barrington Broadcasting

Syracuse Post Standard is reporting today that Barrington Broadcasting has picked up channels 3 and 14 here from Raycom Media. It also state's that:
"WSTQ has held off signing with The CW until expected new ownership had a chance to review the deal." Now time will tell if this happens.....Does anyone know anyting about Barrington?

Barrington Broadcasting Corporation was formed in 2003 to acquire and operate television stations in mid-sized markets across the country. Since 2004, Barrington purchased six other network-affiliated stations (and one construction permit. After the consummation of the proposed transaction, Barrington stations will cover more than 3.4% of U.S. television households and employ 947 individuals in full and part-time positions.

It Happened

From Broadcasting and Cable:

The CW announced a slate of new affiliation agreements Tuesday that brings its total distribution to 74% of the country. Thirty more stations have signed on for the new network, including several Media General and Raycom Media-owned outlets.

The new deals include carriage in two top 50 markets: Media General’s WASV Greenville-Spartanburg, SC-Asheville, NC-Anderson, SC (market no. 35) and KBEJ San Antonio, operated by Belo Corp (no. 37).

Other deals include five top 100 markets: Media General’s WJWB Jacksonville, Fla (no. 52); Grant Communications’ WBVA Roanoke-Lynchburg, VA (no. 68) and Raycom’s WSTQ Syracuse, N.Y. (no. 76).

Still waiting to see what station will be the CW affiliate in Buffalo (most likely WNLO or WNGS) and Utica (most likely WBU- WPNY will probably become MYTV)
 
Does anyone know the fate of The Tube network affiliation on WSTM digital channel 3.4 after the sale?

Don't count on WNGS to be the new CW affiliate--all bets are on WNLO (better signal, market coverage, etc). You can't even get WNGS with an antenna if you live in the city.
