wstw christmas ratings

Why didn't WSTW have any impact in the Philly ratings, it seems they stood the same even with their much better playlist but you know the Philly listener they don't except change its the B for Christmas, how did they do in their market. On another note how is W236EA doing for a small signal you can receive them in Cherry Hill, Marlton, Berlin, South Philly all of Delco and other spots, besides Swedesboro and the Wilmington area.

Why didn't WSTW have any impact in the Philly ratings,
It was their first year going All-Christmas, with a rimshot signal, no paid advertising letting people know they went all-christmas, and with a full-market Christmas competitor people flock to and leave on because Philadelphians are creatures of habit.

I try to tune in when I have to go to Wilmington and the signal is... not great. The signal in Wilmington proper occasionally got drowned out by WAYV. Commercials are almost non-existent, so I doubt they're making money yet.

Is there any plan to upgrade/move the signal into Wilmington proper?

Because they’re not in Philly?

Was this supposed to be coherent?

People are creatures of habit everywhere, especially when it comes to things like the holidays, in fairness. It’s not like there are tons of markets where the audience is just running to new stations year to year.

It's very possible that they don't buy the Philadelphia book. If they don't buy it, they won't show up in the 6+ numbers.

HOWEVER subscribers to the book will see how much impact they have. Because all stations that encode will be in that book.

Actually WSTW is listed in the Philadelphia ratings. It's tied for #24. The ratings before the holidays were just under a 1, they stayed just under a 1 and they are currently just under a 1. It seems Christmas music had no effect in the Philly ratings but Wilmington may be another story.

Philadelphia had three nearby non-religious stations playing Christmas music, if you wanted to give WBEB a rest and could get their signals: WSTW 93.3 Wilmington, WRFY 102.5 Reading and WLEV 100.7 Easton. Christmas music certainly goosed the ratings for WBEB!
