WSTW jockless at night???

Well, this is a first

Scott Arnold exits and now, no night jock? No tracking? On a Friday night in the Spring book? Where's the new PD while this is going on?

How long has Scott been out? This was news to me.

I know that Scott wasn't offered FT, so he kinda bounced between doing PT at WSTW,
and a FT day job. Regardless of how you feel about his ability, he was a class act who really
wanted that FT opportunity. Here's hoping he gets it somewhere.

Scott's a good guy and you can now find him pulling weekends on WJBR.

I agree with Delawhere..not even a fill in jock during the Spring book? I haven't seen an ad for the position yet..

I think they're looking for an imaging person, as well. Might be a package deal in this day and age of radio...

I hope they at least think to V/T until the hiring takes place. WJBR gives them enought trouble without this happening during the Spring book.

LOL It was just a matter of time... It's good to see Scott has found a new gig. Jockless hmmm... Is Delmarva going the way of small market radio? Keep it cheap.

Let the wheel of Jocks spin on LOL

As one person mentioned where the heck is there leader? why didn't he VT

Hopefully someone gets there Azz chewed for this one :D

Certainly not in your English class!

Poor grammar aside (always the last line of defense when faced with the indefensible ::)), where *is* waldo? Has anyone even heard this guy?

Let me say this about Scott Arnold...
From what I understand (and someone else mentioned on this thread), this guy worked full-time during the day, and then did nights at WSTW. He did this for what? A year? Maybe more? What else did he have to do to prove himself? He sounded good, and he showed he was willing to do whatever it took to prove himself, and earn that job. And it still wasn't offered. I don't blame him for leaving. I don't think many people would be able to do what he did...working basically a 15 hour day everyday, and weekends too. And, he actually sounded pretty good doing it. I don't know the PD at WSTW, but I have to wonder what he is thinking. First, he lets Arnold go, and then he doesn't even fill the slot, even with a bunch of part-timers.

Good luck at WJBR Scott!

The weird thing..is that I don't have a problem with them releasing Scott. As much of a nice guy he is (and he truly is), he was not the current PD's choice. He was a leftover from the John Wilson days. That said, I have a real problem with leaving the spot open. There's a talented staff of PT'ers available..not ONE of them could do it? I find that hard to believe..at the very least, hire someone quickly!

Just doesn't make sense. It's almost as if WSTW is TRYING to tank themselves at the moment.

Let it tank! This is what you get when going cheap.

They don't want to pay a full time jock, it's easier to work them part time and a heck of alot cheaper NO Benefits. (maybe a cd for their trouble)

Was Scott left over from the John Wilson days, or did he go back to the Mike Sommers regime. Because, remember now, Mikey is programming WJBR and he may start bringing some of his favorites over from 'STW...

Just a thought...

Not sure. From what I remember, Scott had a tour of duty at WSTW before his most recent one. Wilson brought him back the second time, but I wasn't around for the first time. More than likely, it was a Mike Sommers move. Good point.

As far as "his favorites", he's already got Jill Quale. Johnny B is happy in Texas, and now Scott. Who's left, Dana McDonald?

Naw, I think WJBR wants to beat WSTW. ;D

I think it was John Wilson who brought Scott on both times. In between WSTW stints, he left the market (not sure where he went). I think the Sommers thing is just a coincidence. I don't think those two guys knew each other or worked together until now.
