It appears that Rush Limbaugh has been dropped from Pamal Broadcasting's WSYB. Have not heard a reason why officially. Premiere Radio's Jim Rome Show has replaced Rush.

I'm sure there many reasons emanating from the "Oprah House" on why the gurus over there gave El Rushbo das boot, probably the biggest clue would be how many times you heard the "Passing Gas is Illegal" PSA within the noon to 3 time period. Carrying El Rushbo 'aint no freebee', and I am sure what they are running is a no cost barter. El Rushbo had been on their airwaves since 1990.
And that is an issue with most of their stations.... Even during the Bob and Sheri show on WJJR they air a ton of PSA's and it seems like I hear a bunch of ads for them looking for sales staff. Would not surprise me if Rome's show is a straight up barter.
More than a few complaints on the facebook page. They said they'd take down any posts that made threats or mentioned other stations (such as WGY, WVMT, or WSNO who all carry Rush)

Of course they would take down posts. They're small-time radio people of limited intelligence.
Rumors a flying that Jim Rome is possibly moving to CBS Sports Radio next year. So if that is the case what would WSYB replace Rome with? I suppose they could make a deal with CBS but I am betting one of the reasons they went with Rome was they had to replace Rush (who is syndicated by Premiere Radio Networks) with another show from Premiere Radio Networks (thus Rome's show).
Jim Rome is unlistenable. To the point of the Colin Cowherd unlistenability. Thankfully, Cowherd is no longer aired in the Bangor market, and I'm at work while Rome is on. Dan Patrick I like on my mid/late morning commute, but the 'Loose Cannons' (Pat O'Brien and a couple of bozos totally focused on Los Angeles teams and airing during my lunch hour) are worthless. I hope Blueberry has a barter deal with that show, 'cos if they don't they're getting screwed. I would like to listen to Rich Kimball but again, am working while he's on.

FSR is 100% barter. Blueberry wouldn't pay for crap like that. Hell, they have a hard time paying for anything, that's why they don't pick up ESPN and dropped Red Sox from their stations.
