WTCG 870 Mount Holly is on

Mike,

You hit the nail squarely on the head here as to why there are so many religious stations around here. This ares does have a lot of deeply religious people, but many of them think their way is the only way, and that if you are not part of their flock then you need to be converted for your own good.

I also think that for the traveling public, spoken word religious programming is largely wasted. If I am traveling and get interested in a sermon/lesson etc, I often find that I will miss the end and maybe even the most important part of the message because I have arrived at my destination and don't have time to stay in the car to listen to the rest of the program.

I heard this WTCG-870 on at 5:30 this morning. Evidently they didn't bother to turn it off. Maybe the FCC needs to remind them about the rules for daytime only stations. They do not have a pre-sunrise authorization and even if they did that usually starts at 6am with greatly reduced power.

Does anyone know, do they even have a studio here? Is it all controlled from somewhere else?

and the sad part is all 20 of them suck, except for WPZS now that AC is gone. WGIV used to be good too, until AC Stowe took over that one and murdered it too, you listen to WGIV now and think it's 1950. Tonya Rivens needs to take back over ASAP. But I agree, we don't need another crappy religious station, we need another GOOD religious station.
