WTDY/Madison Drops Glenn Beck, Labels Program "Unacceptable"

"Madison 1670" WTDY announced that they have dropped Beck's show, claiming that it has "devolved into plugs for Fox News... his books, and other personal endorsements." However, "Monday's program was the final straw; his unabashed deriding of Madison is unacceptable for broadcast in our community."

Gee, I wonder if Beck is going to say how Madison is not safe to walk around at night on his next show...

He's already been yanked from the station's website.

Good.
Glenn Beck is a hack anyways. He gets half his ideas from Alex Jones, twists and convolves them into mind numbing spew of half truths that lowers the IQ of his average listener until they are drooling out the last bits of what was their brain.
He's a shill for Fox news, a thorn in the side of the truth movement, and puts more people to sleep than he wakes up.

Oh my goodness. Here we have the power of a radio station that just silences anything it doesn't like to hear. Next thing you know, they'll move the station to Illinois.

My theory about Beck's AM station lineup is not that his show gets great ratings, but there are so many long pauses between sentences, the transmitters use less electricity than if they carried, let's say Stephanie Miller and crew, who emote endlessly.

WTDY was smart to drop Beck during the upheaval in Madison. With the hodge podge of bad programming on WTDY, this is their only chance to get about 5 minutes...no make that 60 seconds of "fame" or publicity. WTDY can't do much worse than they do with the rest of their programming, and Beck deserves a good deal better.
