I understand that WTEN Albany is for sale. Does anyone have any ideas about who might be the right buyer for this station? It needs a lot of upgrading as it has not been for years. I wonder if anyone knows who is the GM there now. The previous GM left a few weeks ago.
Cmon. How can you not like Elisa, Steve, Nicole, Andy, and the crew? They all do a professional job, and in these tough times, they deserve our support.
WTEN has been a really scaled back news operation for some time now. They really don't have the guns to compete in the capital district anymore. Gone are the Dick Wood and Rip Rowan days.
Good luck to them, but they have lost market share, advertising and they are not really an attractive buy right. This could take them a while.
