WTHK is this the new classic rock blend

Today I heard We Just Disagree, Dave Mason, followed by The Break Up Song, Greg Kihn Band, is this a staple for Classic Rock stations now. I never thought of these tunes as Classic Rock or heard them before on a classic rocker. Could Classic Rock stations be tuning their formats to include more Pop Rock tunes to counteract the vanishing Real Oldies stations.

Interesting observation on your part. Now let's see if it will work.

Both of those songs are rock songs, played on rock stations
when they were new. The Dave Mason song made its way to
"Lite Rock" type stations over the years, but regardless,
Dave Mason is a rock artist. Greg Kihn was more of an
80's Rocker ... Both of these songs were played on
WYSP when I was on the air there in the Classic Rock days.
