WTHR - Highest Rated news in Indy History???

I saw a promo on WTHR yesterday where they stated they were the highest-rated news in the history of Indianapolis during the month of February.

I personally find them to be second-best to WISH. Is this rating for February an abberation, or is this normal?

Lee Jiles was great. Tom Cochran brought new blood, new technology, new imaging.

WTHR is owned by Post Dispatch and they are always reimaging, bringing in the newest, latest.

I watch both.

I understand because of their aggresive stance that they probably are highest rated in something in the current book.

Hype is everything...

The hype gets really old. It turns me off.

So I tend to watch WRTV. Somebody's gotta stick up for the underdog.

Nothing wrong with that! Didn't the IBA name them the best news operation this year?

I watch WRTV sometimes but please. They don't even have a helicopter.

What does this say about the IBA?

A fine organization if you happen to be married to your sister.

I dunno, Emily Gimmel was reporting live from a helicopter yesterday.

And since when does a news organization's effectiveness depend on whether they have a helicopter?

I tend to watch WRTV news more than any other - actually because of 6 News 24/7 (the artist formerly known as NewsChannel64). It is always there, always on, and easy to flip to for a quick local news break. My second choice is WTHR's SkyTrak Weather Network, except when there is actually a breaking weather event in my area, in which case STWN becomes my #1.
