WTIC 1080 meltdown last night

WTIC had a meltdown last night. At 11:45PM last night when I turned on my walkman they were running dead air. That last until 11:58 when a commercial break started. At 12AM right after the legal ID they went to CBS News then a commercial break and then a local news update with Ed Renyolds. At 12:06AM Hannity resumed and it was all messed up. A clip came on in mid-caller. Then it stopped. And another clip came on in the middle. And Then it stopped. And then another clip started. Then a distorted commercial break. Then I turned off my radio and went to bed. I figure with the problems that I heard with the Hannity show is why they were running Dead Air when I tuned in at 11:45. (Then again in my opinion technical problems with a radio show is not an excuse for running dead air).

In the real world of radio and TV things happen you have no control over.

The automation systems there must have detected SOME kind of signal coming from the network (or is this show time delayed?) otherwise I'd think it would have dumped to some other source. However, I don't know anything about how they are set up over there.

Watch Clear Channel use this as leverage to bring Hannity to the "new" 97.9 FM (shhh)...
