WTIC AM 1080 News Question

Is WTIC AM 1080 now Voice-Tracking or Pre-Recording their news updates? The news anchor used to give the current temperature at the conclusion of the pre-taped Weather forecast. And either go into one more commercial break or into the next show. The last couple days I've noticed the anchor say "I'm [anchor name] WTIC, 1080 News."

Surprised they're not punctuated with, "...online at cbshartford.com."

WTIC AM has gone totally downhill since the infestation of wingnut radio. (And no, Clark Howard at 7 really doesn't save them from my calling them out as wing nut radio). Wouldn't be surprised to see them cutting corners like this,which would be a sad beginning of the end of a legacy radio station.

Oh hi, progressivetalk, we get it. You're a liberal. You don't like conservatives. You wish progressive radio were a viable business option.

I was sad when Rush Limbaugh first hit, not because he was conservative, but because that was the beginning of moving WTIC from a broad-based station the whole family could listen to, to a fairly rude, in-your-face style of broadcasting. I would have had the same problem if it were a liberal or centrist, if they had the same "shock jock" attitude of riling up the listeners.

Of course, back in the 70's it almost started with Jerry Williams from Boston, who made Rush look like a pussycat. But he was only parking himself in Hartford until he could get back to Boston, or another major market.

It's too bad that getting people angry is one of the main ways AM radio has found to stay alive.

How is Rush racist? Is everyone racist these days for speaking out? Some of you on the far left call everyone that you dissagree with racist and ignorant, with little to nothing to back it up. Back up that accusation with three examples or else you'll look like a complete fool.
