WTIC DT-2, now more than just a test pattern

61.2 has started running promos (and PSA's) for Antenna TV, not sure what time it started, but I guess it'll be ready "New Year's Eve".

I assume they mean tomorrow night at Midnight and not tonight at Midnight.

COX Meriden (and presumably the other 2 COX systems) is already carrying this channel on Channel 806. Meanwhile I just got word COMCAST is not carrying this channel here (and in Philly via Channel 17.4) until January 25th. Yet another reason why COX is better than COMCAST.

Because they cannot purchase a receiver, get it installed with the associated plant wiring, provisioned on the fiber ring, and get the word out in a billing cycle as required by DPUC rules to suit your perceptions on how a company should be run, they are inferior?

For some reason COX just changed Antenna TV WTIC 61.2 from Channel 806 to 810. 810 will be its permanent spot as that's what's listed on COX's website along with ZAP2IT.COM I don't know why the change was made, but maybe because 811 is WCCT 20.2 THIS-TV and they're co-owned.

COX also added more HD channels.

TV stations are not always forthcoming to cable system operators long enough in advance for the cable system to make decisions on carrying sub-channels. I've known a few CATV tech people over the years (heck, back in the 80's I used to pass on viewer complaints to one because they had RFI over channel 6 from the station I worked for), and you would not believe the stories, most of which I actually can't repeat here. It could have been that no one thought they had to contact Comcast or maybe they were too busy getting the thing up and running and it slipped their mind or whatever. I'm guessing the slipped their mind due to busy reason as I just noticed legal ID's are now being displayed on this channel for the first time today since they opened up the .2

I noticed the same thing on WPIX yesterday. At the beginning of each show there is an Antenna TV logo with WPIX 11.4 underneath it and it's displayed for about 10 seconds.
