WTIC - IBOC?

Just wondering, over the past few weeks there has been a hiss / whiring sound in WTIC AM 1080, I didn't pay attention to it really until this morning. I have a GE SuperRadio in my bathroom which I listen to when I take a show, it sounded like it was off frequency, so I tried fine tuning it but no good the his was still there.I then went around to other radios in my house and had the same thing happening there.I thought maybe something electronic in my house was causing the interferance so I went into my 206 Ridgeline and drive to work and it was there as well.My only thought on this is I am wondering if WTIC is starting to play with IBOC or something. I must say this hiss is really annoying.

I started hearing 1080's HD signal on my JVC car radio on Thursday morning nad it was on again on Friday morning so they must be testing.

Scott,I see what you mean. I was listening today at noon. I think I could get better fidelity from 2 cans and a string.Regards,DJ Jim Wayne
