WTIC Legend Arnold Dean Passes Away

Taken from that article:

(Al) Terzi said Dean had mastered the broadcasting voice, never interrupting his sentences with "um" or "ah." He spoke every word succinctly, but never in a stilted way, Terzi said.

Now if Governor Dan Malloy knew how to speak better? Just sayin'!

R.I.P. Arnold. :(

Just saw this on NBC 30's Facebook page. They said they will have a "special report" at 6PM.

Channel 30 had a nice piece about him on this morning. I don't know if that's the special report or not.

I worked with Arnold in the 80's both as a board op (filling in for the late Charlie Brown). He was always fun to work work for and easy going when you screwed up. While he was known for sports, he could talk music with equal passion and knowledge. A finer person, you'll not find. :'(

The Arnold Dean tribute show is online at WTIC.com and on the podcast feed for Sportstalk.

Arnold was a great guy and he's missed.
