WTIC lets Vicevich go

Boy. This on the heels of a recent hospital stay, and Vicevich singing the praises of how great CBS is for letting him recuperate, and his timeslot would be there for him when he returned. So much for that.

Raccoon: During the aforementioned hospital stay, WTIC ran "best of" Hannity. I wonder which direction they will go now. Ingraham? Tape-delayed Smerconish, maybe?
 
Don't know what they'll run; is Ingraham available? She was on WDRC in the past (her site lists WMRD
1150 and WMRD's site says that too, an hour maybe is on there?)
 
I would suggest Beck, but I believe CC's got him locked up on WELI, at the very least.
 
How bout this? Move the Afternoon News block from 3PM to 9AM, Air Hannity Live 3PM-6PM and put Dr. Laura back on the air in Hartford on a 7 hour delay 10PM-1AM?

I don't know. I make things up as I go along. I play by my own rules. Some may ask why Dr. Laura? While I can't stand the woman, she was carried on WXCT and when they went off the air in 2007 I know of quite a few people who were disappointed with losing Dr. Laura.

Or another idea is to have Ray Dunaway's show go to 10AM again and steal Dennis Miller from WMRD.
 
Yay. Yet another obligatory reference to Southington's most famous (to only one person) radio station. Who knew.

I wouldn't bank on WTIC moving their three-hour "total news" block from 3 PM. It's heavy on traffic, much like their morning show is, and as long as there is no 24/7 all-new radio station in Hartford, CBS isn't going to break what doesn't need to be fixed.

Hartford is too sophisticated for Hannity's style in afternoon drive. A news block works better while people are driving home.
 
Hopefully they will replace Vicevich with another local host. We've got syndicated talk coming out of our eyeballs in most markets.
 
I'm sure whomever the replacement is, he/she will likely lean to the right...
