WTKK 96.9 "BLEEPS" IMUS ? ? ?

Listened to Imus this morning only to hear him "bleeped" when he attempted to mention Opie & Anthony on his show and that LA station, KCBS, that may hire them back.

It was a pretty bad editing job because you would either hear part of the name Opie or Anthony.

Was this censorship by WTKK or was this a syndicated edit of Imus.

Would think that Don Imus would have total control of his program topics.

I think it's probably the former. A couple years ago when WTKK had Hannity,
Sean was having O&A on to promote their XM show. WTKK, apparently not wanting to
promote satellite radio/a competitor, did not air that hour and instead
ran a "re-run" hour. (Though recently when Hannity himself appeared on Laura
Ingraham, though he's no longer on WTKK, they let the interview go through.
Hannity is now on WTTT. Then again I don't think Sean's radio show was specifically mentioned...so maybe they just treated it as "Laura's talking to
someone from Fox News Channel"...)<P ID="signature">______________

This is all so silly. Time for radio executives to grow up.
Just another example that management is run by former radio time salesmen who can only measure intelligence by the number of "spots" they sell.
Limited and narrow vision of the intelligence of the world.

What? We don't have competition! There's nothing else on the other stations across town. Don't bother trying to tune them in to try and find out. If you do, I'll have a little hissy fit right here, I swear (off mic)! Sounds like SOMEONE'S got an inferiority complex after having met O&A in the gym locker room. Ok, that's enough mocking. You guys can pull your heads out of the sand now.

One who mentions call signs and shows of other stations freely on the air whenever I care to...

I'm pretty sure it was just technical difficulties with the feed, because it was still happening even after he was finished talking about O&A and was talking about some othere stuff.

Re: WTKK 96.9 \
