WTKK 96.9 FM MANAGERS SHOW NO SUPPORT TO MICHAEL GRAHAM

It became obvious today how little confidence the managers of 96.9 WTKK have in Michael Graham.

Mike Barnicle is on vacation this week and instead of extending Michael Graham by an hour they reverted to the last hour of Imus which the station dropped last month because it is usually a repeat of earlier hours.

Seems the managers of 96.9 are more secure with a repeat of Imus than an extra hour with Graham Crackers.... ;)
 
What is your obsession with Graham? Post after post is filled with rants about Graham and how evil he is.

We get it. You don't like Graham. Time to move on grasshopper.

As for management not having any faith in the guy, how many times have they had him fill in for Serverin? If the have no confidence in him, why would they put him on during drive time?

Don't let your right wing claptrap blind you.
It would make great programming sense to give "Crackers" that extra hour in Barnicle's absence to help him build his audience. Still, the management of WTKK would rather run the last hour of Imus which is usually a repeat. That sir or madam is no vote of confidence in Graham.

Management probably has him fill in for Severin because his shtick is that same shrill, right-wing, 'the sky is falling' attitude.

I can't stand him because his voice is whiny.

perhaps there's contractural issues. just a guess, but whenever a poster says something's obvious, it usually means there's another answer.
 
we should start a poll... which station does Casablanca dislike more... WRKO or WTKK? As someone has said, it's amazing that someone who loathes those hosts so much listens to them. I don't like the hosts on either station so, guess what? I find radio programming I DO enjoy and listen to that. ;D
 
No, I just loath bad radio and bad talk radio in particular. The call letters are secondary.The best make it look easy and the worst make talk radio a bad joke. I'll let you figure out where Graham Crackers fits in... He's almost as bad as Spencer Hughes and will probably last just about as long.

any idea how Graham does in the ratings - as compared to the AM talkers? (and not by daypart - but by the specific hours that he's on the air) AQH Share, 12+ and 25-54...
 
I will admit that Graham is not everyone's cup of tea...but who is? I even agree with his political leanings, more or less, but I find his voice to be tough to listen to (in a nails-on-blackboard Hillary Clinton sort of way). But Casablanca is fine with his rantings on Graham; we all have our targets. I frequent all the Boston Globe-bashing blogs and chime in with messages about my utter hate for that soon-to-be-extinct New York Times mini-Me. Happy at the layoffs; happy at the outsourcing to Bangalore; happy that their readership is plummeting and ad revenues are extinct.

There are tons of people saying similar things, and it's fun knowing that lazy people at the Globe (and there are many; just ask Ron Borges) are reading those blogs. So cut Casablanca some slack on Graham because we do it to the Globe all the time. The biggest laugh I get is that the Globe rues the day that 'their' algore invented the Internet...that would be the same Internet that was an atom bomb on their whole business LOL.
