WTKK/Jay Severin Tape/Transcript

Hey, all...

I don't know much about radio, but a buddy who does suggested I come here and ask my question. I'm trying to get a tape (hopefully) or a transcript (will do in a pinch) of yesterday's (10/19/06) Jay Severin show on WTKK.

How do I go about getting such a thing from the radio station? Who would I ask to speak to? Do they usually have such things?

Thanks in advance!

I'd think they save shows for a short while--in WTKK's case sometimes they rebroadcast Jay's show on the weekend as a "Radio Rewind". You could call or email their program director. In fact maybe they'll say
"We're re-running it at (x) time this weekend so you could tape it then".

What did Jay say that warrants taping?

probably his on the air declaration of becoming a legal mass. resident as of wed. or thursday(reg. deadline to vote). that's a pretty historic occassion.

Has he EVER, EVER addressed that on air? because sometimes his ISDN sounds like two strings and a paper cup and listeners never know the difference.

Actually, the people that usually frequent rest stops and bath houses typically are the married guys who publicly scream same sex marriage is wrong and call gay people the 3 letter F word around their friends, but yet run to these places when their wives/girlfriends aren't around.

Jay is probably hetero--he has a wife named Renee. What he isn't is a swingin' single...young...Pulitzer
prize winner...Mass. resident (OK, THAT may be about to change). And that being said, I prob. won't bother
to hear his show unless Howie's in a commercial break...

Jay is still pushing the Counter Top sponsor, saying that they remade his kitchen even though he also admits that he's been living in Sag Harbor. Either he go them to Long Island to install his counter tops or he's simply making up the story.
