WTKK line up change.

WTKK shakes up linup starting Mon. McPhee 6-10 pm, Jim and Marge in AM, Graham phoney Cracker at 10am-2pm, then Gods gift to women and political consultancy (not) Severino afternoons (siesta time!)

How bad could IIiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii am Michael Graham's ratings have been to give morning drive to Two Chicks Dishing?

Maybe they're just keeping the slot warm for the Fat Bastard.

Since I generally don't listen to WTKK in the morning was there a show removed in order to extend Micahel Graham's show to 4 hours? Also it looks like Michelle McPhee's show was also given an extra hour. I assume this was ratings based. I can't imagine another hour with McPhee.

Will there be any change to the Saturday lineup?

Imus is still there but only from 5am to 7am.

According to the TKK website:

Boston Talks Mornings with Jim & Margery!

If you liked them at noon, you'll love them at 7am! Join Jim & Margery now weekdays from 7am-10am right after the Imus in the Morning show...
Check out the rest of the new WTKK weekday lineup:

•Imus in the Morning
- 5am-7am

•Jim & Margery
- 7am-10am

•Michael Graham
- 10am-2pm

•Jay Severin
- 2pm-6pm

•Michele McPhee
- 6pm-10pm

10:00PM - 1:00AM Curtis Sliwa
1:00AM - 5:00AM Phil Hendrie

So Imus loses a couple hours; Jim and Margery get up alot earlier; Graham starts an hour later and works 4 hours instead of 3; Severin starts an hour earlier; McPhee starts an hour earlier and works an hour longer.

Indeed I heard about this during McPhee's show. So while they roll back the I-man to 2 hours (they probably
will expand him to 9 or 10 am on St Patrick's Day for the annual Kiss Me I'm Imus broadcast), they go head to
head with WRKO's Finneran and Feinburg, local talk. Graham and McPhee do indeed add hours and Severin gets to
go home (he IS doing his show from Greater's studios again, isn't he?) an hour earlier.
So WTKK has about 15 hours of local talk a day. WRKO: half that (F&F for 3.5 hours, Carr for 4)

I noticed a few months ago that Imus has slipped pretty badly. Given he wasn't that strong anyway--as compared to his once great show, about 15 years ago-- maybe TKK decided that it's time to look into making a morning drive move.
So I'd expect I' to be gone completely in the not to distant future. And I really don't see J&M as full-time morning duo. They need something else?

does this mean 1 live hoour of Imus a day from 6-7? Hopefully the 5-6 rebroadcast the next morning can be the strongest of the previous day's hours. The best guests are usually on at 735 or 835

Imus sucks, and has sucked for quite a while. I am sure TKK wanted to drop him entirely but because of contract issues had to keep him on at least for a few hours.

I do not have objective criteria to evaluate "sucking", but his interviews at 25 minutes of the hour each morning set the daily agenda for the internets, talk radio and cable tv.

Imus HATERS are generally Howard Stern fans. Imus' program is still great. TKK is making a big mistake here. Because of Imus' show, I became a BIG TKK fan. Now I will watch/listen to Imus on the Fox Business Network starting TOMORROW AM!!!! I will not turn my radio on in the AM starting tomorrow.

For those who can pick up the signal, Imus is still carried in fill in the Providence market by Citadel's 790-WPRV.

Yeah...maybe, as they say in baseball, Imus may have "lost a little off his fastball".....but he's still one of the very best at what he does.

With his health an open question, it's uncertain how much longer he may be on the air in any event. Too bad.

I don't like the lineup change as much.
Does this mean come next spring,Imus WON'T be making his annual trip to boston for his"Kiss me.I'm Imus" show-most likely NOT!Especially after the debacle with jay severin & that farce gave the station a headache to deal with!
Also NO monthly talks with the governor either since J & M switched their show hours???
I'm especially used to jay severin being on @ 3-7 pm as that has been his show hours since the beginning except for that brief syndicated stint.
It'll be interesting how J & M do ratings wise in the morning.
All the local show hosts talk local except jay who talks national.
...maybe they should have tried "the phantom gourmet" 7- 10 am weekdays instead???
Cattman

The gov could probably still make his monthly talk even with the new hours--maybe he could do 9-10. I think they also still could talk with Martha Coakley who does a monthly appearance (but since she's running for Senate I wonder if they'd have to award equal time to any competitor who requests it...?)

Jim Braude can't be loving this new schedule...He has a morning job and a night job? I guess he can always go home and take a nap during the day..

Yes, that was the first thing I thought about when I heard about the line-up change..
