WTKK working on web streaming

Has been mentioned on air and also on the Web (see link below): WTKK is working on streamcasting, which they hope to have up by the end of the year. There currently isn't a "listen live" function to their site, but there may be. Of course
much of their lineup is syndie so some people might be able to get online streaming of the syndie shows through each show's site...not sure if one has to pay for that privilege
or not (maybe online streaming is offered for free but one may need to _pay_
to download a show/podcast). Some syndie shows only offer streaming to
subscribers (that's why Rush's show, as well as Noory's, isn't on WRKO.com)

Fans of Michael Graham from his previous on-air perch, WMAL in Washington DC,
are hoping they can hear him again via streaming. There _was_ live streaming
offered for the "Night of All Stars" a couple weeks back (and I believe it's
available for podcast downloading).

By the way the word is (via various sources) that signing with WTKK gave Graham
a raise; in fact he's supposed to be making twice as much as before.

"Some bad news:

This station does NOT have a streaming connection but Michael told me that they're working on it by the end of the year.

Some good news:

MG got a total of SEVEN offers from various stations which all appear to have higher ratings than WIMP... er... WMAL.

MG got a raise. (Don't ask, I don't know numbers and wouldn't say anyway.)

WTKK.com needs a "102.7 Redo"

WTKK.com needs a "102.7 Redo" for the post-Jay era. WRKO's site is much better.

Huh?
What's a 102.7 Redo?
And is Severus's absence really that big a deal?

I know this is pure b.s., he was passed up left and right all over, that shyster agent was ticking people off, only Greater fell for it..

WTKK has had streaming for ages now...but they never released the URL. Here is a hint...look at other Greater Media streaming URLs...change the call letters in the URL from W___ to WTKK and you're there.

I listened to 96.9 all throughout the summer and part of the spring on that...and there was a time where it wasn't working but most of the time it was up and running.

The only thing they are working on, likely, is having the automation automatically switch the streaming signal to something else when the station plays their break. otherwise...they are streaming.

Rephrased: WTKK needs to redo its website

Rephrased: WTKK needs to redo its website, WRKO's site is much better.

I was bringing back a Frankie Blue "then we're gonna fud? the winner" reference, the Mix 102.7 Redo. WKTU baby!

Re: WTKK needs to redo its website

I think the WTKK site has always looked more professional than the WRKO site, if you consider that sort of thing. Even after their recent redesign, the WRKO site is sloppy. It's much cleaner than before, but most of it looks like it was done in frontpage, however it's much more informational than the WTKK site.
