WTKK's Christmas Menu

Per this week's "News Talk Edge" newsletter:

"WTKK/Boston plans a Christmas Day buffet of recorded talk shows with an emphasis on New England holiday traditions. On Christmas Eve, middayer Michael Graham turns his show into a holiday luncheon with appearances by other WTKK staffers and local celebs."

A holiday "buffet" of canned talk... yummy!

Christmas is on a Saturday this year, so what are they really giving up by doing this?

The Phantom Gourmet? The Smirchonish replay on Saturday night?

It's not exactly prime time anyway.

The Board Ops will be there I bet.

The "talent" will get to be home with their family.

Now what will they do with WMJX?

I have friends that work for PT both stations on the weekends and I bet they will be doing their Board Op and air shifts.

Now as far as I know, the GM of WLYN has graciously offered as he has done in years past, to cover all the shifts himself so the rest of the staff can have the day off.

Nothing, I got the December ESPN Radio schedule (what they give out to affiliates) and Christmas Eve/Day all they're running, other than an NBA game and a football bowl game, is the same 3-4 hour programming block all day
